New PARS Playwork Communications Assistant role
Common Threads Publications Ltd is recruiting a Communications Assistant to support its growing international PARS playwork training programme. We are looking for somebody who is self-motivated and self-reliant, highly organised and thrives in a flexible, dynamic team environment.
The purpose of the role is to collect, organise and promote information about our international PARS programme. This will involve working with our PARS trainers, practitioners and research partners all around the world to identify and produce promotional material for social media, newsletters, our website, press releases etc.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar communications role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector. They will be highly literate, be able to identify newsworthy stories and support team members to create new promotional material. They will also be able to demonstrate a wide range of practical and technical skills relevant to the role, particularly in the area of information technology. Good ‘people skills’ are also essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with people who work in languages other than English.
The role is home-based and initially self-employed. Weekly working hours will be flexible but anticipated to be around two days per week for the first month. The post will change and develop according to demand for our PARS training courses and the changing needs of our growing international training team. Hours and job requirements will therefore be reviewed at the end of the first month.
