PARS Book Club
We are very excited to launch our new online book club, hosted by Grant Lambie. The PARS Book Club is for anybody who interested in children and childhood and wants to develop their knowledge and understanding of a wide range of relevant literature.
PARS Book Club will cover different types of literature, including academic papers, practitioner blogs, novels, textbooks and even cartoon strips! Each session will run for 1 hour and cover three set pieces, opening with a talk from a guest author and also including two short presentations from participants about a work of their choice. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions, discussion and sharing insights.
The three presenters at this first PARS Book Club will be:
- Adele Cleaver, UK – author of ‘Children Don’t Dissolve in the Rain’
- Dr Jonathan McCloud, USA – ‘Summerhill School: A New View of Childhood’ by A.S. Neill
- Hilda Lau, Hong Kong – ‘Gross Motor Skills Levels in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during the COVID-19 Pandemic’ by Diajeng Tyas Pinru Phytanza, Erick Burhaein, Ratko Pavlovic.
This is an open-access peer-reviewed journal article which can be downloaded here
